About The Position

Lucas Tree Experts is hiring motivated Ground Operations Technicians/Arborist Trainees for a full-time, year-round outdoor role in Manchester, New Hampshire. No tree-industry experience is necessary. The company provides free, hands-on on-the-job training in the trade, including CDL training, and pays for licensing and certifications that support career advancement. Wage increases are provided for licenses and certifications obtained along the way. The position offers an hourly wage of $19–$24, depending on experience, with weekly incentives and opportunities to advance.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Must have a current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work 45 hours weekly.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various types of weather.
• Must be physically able to perform the job, including walking on uneven ground and carrying 75 pounds.
• Must be willing to work at varying heights.
• Must be willing and able to learn to operate a bucket truck and equipment safely.
• Must be willing and able to obtain a CDL A or B license.
• Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain licenses and certifications required for the position.
• Must successfully complete a post-offer physical and drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Manually remove vegetation from work areas.
• Apply pesticides.
• Safely operate forestry equipment, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs.
• Perform line clearance, pruning, and removals.
• Learn aspects of the trade, including felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management.
• Learn to operate a bucket truck and other equipment safely.
