About The Position

Lucas Tree Experts is hiring an Arborist Trainee (also described as a Ground Operations Technician) in Exeter, New Hampshire. Requirements

Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Have a current, valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Be able to work 45 hours per week.
Be able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Be physically able to perform the job, including walking on uneven ground and carrying 75 pounds.
Be willing to work at varying heights.
Be willing and able to learn to operate a bucket truck and equipment safely.
Be willing and able to obtain a CDL A or B license.
Be willing and able to obtain and maintain licenses and certifications required for the position.
Successfully complete a post-offer physical and drug screen, as well as background and motor vehicle checks.

Responsibilities

Manually remove vegetation from work areas.
Apply pesticides.
Safely operate forestry equipment, including skidders, mowers, chainsaws, and ATVs.
Perform line clearance, pruning, and tree removals.
Learn aspects of the tree care trade, including felling, climbing, rigging, equipment operation, and vegetation management.
Learn to operate a bucket truck and other equipment safely.
