About The Position

The AR/Collections Specialist works in a fast-paced, goal-oriented collections department and focuses on timely collection calls and correspondence. The role also provides customer service for collection issues, processes customer refunds, reviews account adjustments, resolves client discrepancies, and manages short payments. This is a contract-to-hire position based in Dallas, Texas, with a hybrid arrangement and onsite presence two days per week. The role works within a team of approximately eight people and provides exposure to high-profile customers.

Requirements

Proficiency in accounts receivable management.
Experience with aging reports and accounting reconciliation.
Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain assigned accounts to reduce delinquency.
Conduct daily collection calls and correspondence.
Process account adjustments, small balance write-offs, customer reconciliations, and credit notes.
Collaborate with internal groups to expedite the collection process.
Communicate and follow up effectively with customers regarding their accounts.
Establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships with customers, asset managers, and property operation teams.
Provide customer service for collection issues, process customer refunds, review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies, and manage short payments.
