About The Position

The Aquatics Program Supervisor works in a fast-paced environment supporting members as they improve their swimming in indoor and outdoor recreational and lap pools. The role assists with managing and training Aquatics Department Team Members, provides excellent customer service, and maintains clean and orderly Aquatics Facilities. The supervisor helps ensure a safe, friendly environment and high-quality programming, and promotes the Life Time swim program.

Requirements

• Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses when hired.
• Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods.
• Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services.
• Ability to swim 300 yards/meters without stopping.
• Ability to tread water for 1 minute.
• Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 months of customer service experience.
• 1 year of coaching and/or swim instructor experience.
• 1 year of lifeguarding experience.
• 6 months of head guard or supervising experience.
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid certification; or bridge to StarGuard when the current certification expires or within the first year, whichever comes first. For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C.

Nice To Haves

• Some college or working toward a 4-year degree.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Aquatics Team Members provide a safe and friendly environment for all members.
• Respond professionally and promptly to member inquiries about Life Time programs, products, services, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure the highest level of programming.
• Promote the Life Time swim program.
• Assist in managing and training Aquatics Department Team Members.
• Provide customer service and maintain the cleanliness and order of Aquatics Facilities.
