About The Position

Chipotle’s Apprentices assist with the day-to-day operations of a restaurant while developing toward a General Manager role. They learn to run a strong business, hire and train team members, and deliver a guest-focused experience. The position works in a fast-paced kitchen and involves interacting with customers and the Chipotle team. The schedule is a standard 50-hour workweek, including evening and weekend shifts, with applicable overtime paid.

Requirements

Genuine enthusiasm for developing people and leading others.
Ability to stand and walk around the restaurant for 10 hours a day, lift 50 pounds/25 kilograms, and perform other physical activities necessary for the role.
Ability to work around varied temperatures, taste and prepare food, and communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant management experience, preferably including scheduling, P&L management, food safety, sales forecasting, and recruiting.

Responsibilities

Uphold high standards of hospitality and guest service.
Act as the leader on duty and ensure speed of service, order accuracy, and a positive guest experience.
Train and develop crew members using Chipotle’s training tools and resources.
Ensure digital orders are delivered accurately and on time.
Learn and help run the restaurant’s day-to-day operations, including scheduling, P&L management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing.
Keep the dining room clean and the restaurant ready for guests.
Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards.
