About The Position

Chipotle Apprentices assist with the day-to-day operations of a restaurant while developing the skills needed to grow into a General Manager role. They learn to run a strong business, hire and train people, and deliver a guest-focused experience. The position includes leading the restaurant while on duty, supporting crew development, ensuring accurate and timely digital orders, and learning operational responsibilities such as scheduling, profit and loss management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing. Apprentices work a standard 50-hour workweek, including evening and weekend shifts, with applicable overtime paid. The work takes place in a fast-paced kitchen and involves interacting with customers.

Requirements

• A passion for hospitality and guest-focused service.
• A friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
• A desire to grow and learn the General Manager position.
• Genuine enthusiasm for developing people and leading others.
• Ability to stand and walk around the restaurant for 10 hours a day.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds / 25 kilograms and perform other physical activities necessary to complete the job responsibilities.
• Ability to work around varied temperatures, taste and prepare food, and communicate with the Chipotle team and customers.

Nice To Haves

• Previous restaurant management experience, including experience with scheduling, profit and loss management, food safety, sales forecasting, and recruiting.

Responsibilities

• Uphold high standards of hospitality and provide a positive guest experience.
• Act as the leader on duty and ensure speed of service and order accuracy.
• Train and develop crew members using Chipotle’s training tools and resources.
• Ensure digital orders are delivered accurately and on time.
• Learn and manage daily restaurant operations, including scheduling, profit and loss management, sales forecasting, recruiting, and interviewing.
• Keep the dining room clean and the restaurant guest-ready.
• Uphold food safety, operational, and compliance standards.
