About The Position

The Apprentice Technician supports the service team by performing minor repairs and routine maintenance while learning hands-on under the guidance of an assigned Master Technician mentor. The role is designed to build foundational skills and experience for advancement into a flat-rate technician position. OEM training and on-the-job mentorship are provided.

Requirements

Ability to work full-time and maintain reliable attendance.
Previous shop or dealership experience.
Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in automotive repair.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Willingness to follow safety procedures and dealership guidelines.
Must be authorized to work in the USA and possess a valid driver's license.
Must pass all pre-employment requirements, including background check, MVR, and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

Completion of an automotive technology program (e.g., UTI, WyoTech, or similar) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Work alongside a Master Technician mentor to learn dealership procedures and technical skills.
Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs as outlined on repair orders.
Assist with vehicle inspections to identify additional service needs.
Learn to diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs under supervision.
Complete required OEM online training as part of the apprentice curriculum.
Request guidance as needed and maintain an active learning mindset.
