About The Position

The Apprentice Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned by a team leader. The role is for a graduate of an automotive technician training school and includes support from a mentor, usually a Master Technician, who helps the apprentice learn dealership operations and provides technical guidance. The apprentice is guaranteed a minimum monthly income during the apprenticeship period.

Requirements

• Graduate from a valid automotive technician training program.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Must be authorized to work in the USA.
• Must pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug test.
• Quality job performance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance work as outlined on repair orders.
• Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Seek assistance from a mentor, team leader, or shop foreman when questions or issues arise.
• Examine vehicles to determine whether additional service work is recommended.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
• Keep up to date with factory technical bulletins.
• Perform duties and responsibilities safely.
