About The Position

The Apprentice Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance work assigned by a team leader. The apprentice is paired with a mentor, usually a Master Technician, who helps them acclimate to dealership operations, shares technical knowledge, and provides assistance as needed. The role includes a guaranteed minimum monthly income during the apprenticeship period and tuition reimbursement assistance.

Requirements

Graduate from an automotive technician training school or valid automotive technical training program.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
Be authorized to work in the USA.
Pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug test.
Demonstrate quality job performance.

Responsibilities

Perform work as outlined on repair orders.
Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and perform repairs.
Ask the mentor, team leader, or shop foreman for assistance when needed.
Examine vehicles to determine whether additional service work is recommended.
Attend factory-sponsored training classes.
Keep up to date with factory technical bulletins.
Perform duties and responsibilities safely.
