About The Position

As an Apprentice I–IV – Plumbing at a Modigent operating company, you will participate in a structured four-year registered apprenticeship program comprising approximately 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and related technical instruction. You will progressively develop skills in commercial plumbing systems, including domestic water, sanitary and storm drainage, process piping, medical gas, high-purity systems, fixtures, and backflow prevention, while working under the direct supervision of experienced journeymen and foremen. Progression through Levels I–IV is based on accumulated hours, demonstrated competencies, completion of required coursework and labs, performance evaluations, and successful advancement reviews. Level I (typically 0–2,000 hours) focuses on entry-level assistance, safety, tool use, basic pipe preparation, and introductory training. Level II (typically 2,000–4,000 hours) involves intermediate plumbing tasks with increasing independence, installation support, testing preparation, blueprint interpretation, documentation, and prefabrication. Level III (typically 4,000–6,000 hours) involves more complex installations, testing, troubleshooting, mentoring, and interpretation of complex drawings. Level IV (typically 6,000–8,000 hours) involves executing full-scope plumbing work with minimal supervision, coordinating installation, quality control, advanced troubleshooting, project close-out, leadership, and preparation for journeyman certification. This is a safety-sensitive position on active construction and job sites. Strict adherence to Modigent safety policies, OSHA standards, and site-specific requirements is required.
