About The Position

The Plumbing Apprentice assists with diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing plumbing systems. These systems may include pipes, fittings, piping systems, fixtures, and equipment for heating, cooling, gas, steam, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing. The apprentice works with various tools, gauges, and measuring equipment under a supervisor’s guidance and direction.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment.
• Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

• Valid or current Plumber’s Apprentice Registration.
• Craft training.

Responsibilities

• Use all personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment properly.
• Become familiar with project task safety plans, documentation, practices, and procedures, and follow them during the workday.
• Complete assigned daily job requirements with safety, quality, and productivity in mind.
• Collaborate with team members to lay out, assemble, and install plumbing systems.
• Assist plumbers as required.
• Maintain required personal tools and keep tools and work areas clean and orderly.
• Perform other duties as required.
