About The Position

Warby Parker is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Optician to help customers with their eyewear needs and provide exceptional customer service. The apprentice learns from a mentor who is a licensed optician in licensed states or a certified optician in non-licensed states. The role develops optical skills and product knowledge while representing Warby Parker’s brand, values, and mission.

Responsibilities

• Learn to meet customers’ eyewear needs under the guidance of a licensed or certified optician.
• Learn to take and record measurements and adjust and fit eyewear accurately.
• Learn to check finished eyewear against optical standards and customer requirements and requests.
• Develop expertise in explaining prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Work with the team to provide exceptional customer service.
• Learn to help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription needs, fit, personal style, and lifestyle.
• Collaborate with the team to develop sales and customer-service best practices for the organization.
• Represent the brand and educate others about its values and mission.
