About The Position

This position works with and assists a Maintenance Mechanic A in the maintenance and repair of facilities and systems while learning and developing the skills necessary to function independently. The apprentice receives on-the-job training while working with the Maintenance Mechanic A and attends a union-approved trade school. The position is not responsible for the maintenance or operation of gaming equipment. Compensation is $21.1750 per hour.

Requirements

• General knowledge in a maintenance area.
• Valid New Jersey driver's license.
• NJ CER license required.
• Ability to walk and stand during the shift.
• Ability to lift, carry, and/or push up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to grasp, hold, reach, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and to talk or hear.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to work in dusty, noisy, wet, and/or humid environments.

Nice To Haves

• Some mechanical skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lift and move tools and parts related to the applicable trade.
• Prepare work areas, including moving furniture and obstructions.
• Learn to read and evaluate blueprints.
• Complete special assignments for management as requested.
