About The Position

The Apprentice Engineer assists building engineers with all duties at The Langham, Chicago. The role requires working safely, prudently, and in an organized manner; keeping the work area clean and tidy; and conducting oneself professionally in accordance with hotel standards. The position also involves climbing ladders to access ceilings and high walls and lifting up to 100 pounds. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer. The role is suited to a guest- and client-focused, detail-oriented team player who can maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment, take responsibility, show drive and determination, adapt to changing technologies, processes, and environments, and work and make decisions with minimal supervision. A high school diploma or equivalent and current good-standing membership in IUOE Local 399 are required. No licenses or certificates are required. The listed pay is $18.25 per hour.
