About The Position

As a Banquet Bartender Apprentice at MGM Grand, you will support beverage service for banquets, conventions, and special events. You will assist bartenders with preparing, setting up, maintaining, and breaking down bar stations, and ensure beverages, products, and supplies are properly stocked throughout service. You will maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment to help deliver exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Looking to achieve a Union Pour card.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bartender with preparing drinks, mixes, and garnishes.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area.
• Maintain sufficient stock of items and products in designated work areas.
• Set up, label, stock, and deliver alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies; polish glassware; and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Perform opening and closing duties according to shift assignment.
• Provide a high level of service, remain alert to guest needs, and respond effectively to guest inquiries.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management.
• Notify a supervisor and/or Security about unusual events or circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
