About The Position

As a Banquet Bartender Apprentice at MGM Grand, you will support beverage service for banquets, conventions, and special events. You will assist bartenders with preparing, setting up, maintaining, and breaking down bar stations, and ensure beverages, products, and supplies are properly stocked throughout service. You will help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment to support excellent hospitality and memorable guest experiences.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Looking to achieve a Union Pour card.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bartender with preparing drinks, mixes, and garnishes.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area.
• Keep designated work areas sufficiently stocked with items and products.
• Set up, label, stock, and deliver alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies; polish glassware; and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Perform opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
• Provide high-quality service, remain alert to guest needs, and respond effectively to guest inquiries.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management.
• Notify a supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
