About The Position

As an Apprentice Bartender at Mandalay Bay, you will assist the bartender and maintain the appearance of the bar. You will help create a welcoming guest experience by understanding guests’ stories and needs and delivering service that creates memorable experiences.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a similar resort environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the bartender with preparing drinks, mixes, and garnishes.
• Maintain the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar area.
• Maintain sufficient stock of items and products in designated work areas.
• Set up, label, stock, and deliver alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages, supplies, glasses, paper products, garnishes, and ice.
• Clean equipment, tools, and supplies; polish glassware; and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Perform opening and closing duties according to shift assignment.
• Provide a high level of service, stay alert to guests’ needs, and respond effectively to inquiries.
• Resolve guest complaints within the scope of authority; refer other matters to management and notify a supervisor and/or Security of unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
