About The Position

Physicians’ Primary Care of Southwest Florida is seeking an Appointment Scheduler for its Adult Medicine division in Fort Myers. The schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The role handles a high volume of patient calls and appointment scheduling while recording patient information accurately, communicating messages, and maintaining confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.

Requirements

• Experience working in a high-volume call center environment.
• Great attention to detail and ability to record information accurately.
• Ability to develop and maintain good rapport and cooperative working relationships with providers, staff, and patients.
• Ability to handle calls professionally and compassionately.
• Knowledge of insurance, referrals, and eligibility.
• Regular and reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

• One year of medical office experience or a combination of medical education and office experience.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Obtain patient demographics and insurance information when scheduling appointments.
• Accurately record information in the patient management system.
• Communicate messages to the appropriate parties.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
