About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Production Services Engineer for a 12+ month contract with a global financial institution in Jersey City, New Jersey. The engineer will join the APSE prime brokerage team and provide hands-on production support for core services supporting the global stock lending business, client reporting, and the Dynamic Pricing Environment (DPE). The role involves supporting mission-critical systems in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with development, operations, and business teams.

Requirements

At least 3 years of production support experience, with a focus on financial services.
Evidence of building strong relationships with development and business partners.
Evidence of a strong risk culture.
Knowledge of ITIL Service Operations, including incident, problem, and service request management.
Experience with alert management and monitoring.
Evidence of promoting continuous service improvement.
Hands-on technical and analytical ability to solve complex issues.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and line-of-business partners.
Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ITRS Geneos, or Dynatrace.
Ability to work in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment.
Python 3 and shell scripting skills.
Job scheduling and batch management experience.
Experience with Dynatrace for performance engineering analysis.

Nice To Haves

Prime Brokerage experience.
Good knowledge of the Prime Brokerage business.
Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools, particularly developing and running automation strategies to improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Provide first- and second-line support for prime brokerage applications, focusing on client reporting and the Dynamic Pricing Environment.
Monitor production systems for availability and performance, identifying and resolving issues in real time.
Troubleshoot technical and functional issues related to prime brokerage services, coordinating with development and enterprise teams on complex issues.
Perform root cause analysis and propose tactical and strategic solutions for recurring production incidents.
Support deployments, releases, resiliency exercises, and disaster recovery exercises.
Work with business stakeholders to understand service impact and prioritize resolution efforts.
Manage, document, and communicate outages to senior business and technology stakeholders, and follow up to prevent recurrence.
Drive process improvements and plan automation, including developing and delivering an automation strategy.
