About The Position

The Application Processor - Analyst processes new and existing membership applications, new service requests, name changes, and changes of ownership accurately and in a timely manner from start to finish. The role verifies identities using identity-authentication tools, credit reports, and information supplied by applicants for new memberships, owners added to existing accounts, and dormant-account reactivation. It also identifies potentially fraudulent applications or account takeover attempts and recommends further review by Loss Prevention & Security or Financial Crimes Risk Management.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position has an onsite expectation of 20%, specifically one day per week on Tuesdays.

Requirements

• High school education (required).
• Any equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Process membership applications, set up check cards, and handle checking requests as specified in the application.
• Handle initial service requests from current members.
• Process name-change requests and changes of ownership, including adding or removing joint owners.
• Process new member applications received by fax from Financial Education Centers.
• Identify potentially fraudulent applications and account takeover attempts, and recommend further review by Financial Crimes Risk Management.
• Perform OFAC checks to comply with BSA requirements; analyze identity-authentication reports, credit reports, and other sources to validate applicants’ identities and determine creditworthiness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
