About The Position

Applied Intuition is seeking a technically strong, customer-facing, execution-driven engineer to help lead a strategic autonomy program with a major automotive OEM customer in Japan, from development through real-world on-road deployment. The engineer will serve as a day-to-day customer contact and technical bridge to Applied’s engineering teams, building trusted relationships with customer engineers and leadership while keeping multiple workstreams, commitments, risks, and decisions aligned and clearly communicated. The role drives milestone delivery, builds the customer’s in-house capability through structured knowledge transfer, and aligns teams across autonomy, systems, hardware, integration, and operations. It also supports on-road autonomy demonstrations for prospective trucking autonomy customers and other OEMs. The work spans software, vehicle integration, and customer operations, guiding programs from development to real-world deployment. Applied Intuition is an in-office company. Full-time employees are expected to primarily work from an Applied Intuition office five days a week, with occasional remote work and schedule flexibility. The stated in-office expectation does not apply to contractor positions. Travel to Japan for customer engagement and demonstrations is listed as a preferred qualification.
