About The Position

The Application Engineer C in the Automotive Business Unit provides technical support to customers, sales, and internal teams by helping identify, evaluate, and implement solutions that meet customer requirements. The role works under the guidance of an application engineering manager or team leader. Responsibilities include supporting customer and engineering projects, maintaining technical relationships, and communicating findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Two to five years of position-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain technical relationships with customers.
Work with sales to identify new project and product opportunities with customers.
Support reviews of customer specifications, drawings, technical data, and other documentation to ensure requirements are understood.
Coordinate customer test support and test return analysis.
Provide technical support to internal departments, including sales, engineering, quality, and manufacturing.
Support engineering projects by gathering data, conducting research, analyzing results, and documenting findings.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other application-related documentation.
Collaborate with managers, senior engineers, and subject matter experts to investigate technical issues and develop corrective solutions.
Develop and maintain knowledge of company products, manufacturing processes, industry standards, and customer applications.
Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions.
Support obtaining technical approval for process changes, including VA/VE.
Maintain accurate project records and communicate project status, findings, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
