About The Position

The applications support the user environment in areas including Identity Management, Service Desk applications, and Asset Management. Acts as a liaison among the Helpdesk, system administrators, database administrators, and functional Client Computing users. The role installs, configures, and administers Client Computing support applications, including setting application parameters and administering incident, problem, and change management capabilities. It plans, tests, and implements production database environments; monitors performance and parameters to support fast query responses; writes application documentation; and reviews monitoring and processing reports to identify and distinguish database, application, and customized-application problems. The administrator troubleshoots technical application problems and coordinates resolution with other support groups. The role also coordinates and installs vendor software patches, security updates, cyclical releases, and major upgrades, while maintaining security compliance with DoD, PCI, PII, and other requirements. It assesses whether existing architecture supports business and functional requirements and creates, designs, develops, analyzes, tests, and modifies administrative scripts and batch files to automate processes.
