About The Position

The Appliance Technician performs accurate diagnoses and repairs of consumer appliances in the Service Center. The role includes completing service orders and related paperwork, calculating estimates for non-warranty repairs, researching product and part information, and determining warranty status. Repairs must follow manufacturer specifications and be completed efficiently and on time. The technician also communicates with retail store associates about product use and training, and helps maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of common consumer electronics and/or appliances.
• Experience troubleshooting to the modular level.
• Ability to read schematics and research part and product information.
• Basic PC skills, including navigating service software and vendor websites.
• Strong time-management skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Strong PC skills.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of technical experience preferred.
• Type I EPA Certification preferred for appliance technicians.
