About The Position

The Appliance Technician diagnoses and repairs consumer appliances in the Service Center, completes service orders and related paperwork, calculates estimates for non-warranty repairs, researches product and parts information, and determines warranty status. Repairs must be completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with manufacturer specifications. The role also includes maintaining a safe and clean work environment and communicating with retail store associates about product use and training.

Requirements

Knowledge of most common consumer electronics and/or appliances.
Troubleshooting experience to the modular level.
Ability to read schematics and research parts and product information.
Basic PC skills, including the ability to navigate service software and vendor websites.
Strong time management skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Strong PC skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with associates, supervisors or managers, and customers as required.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds independently and more than 40 pounds with assistance.

Nice To Haves

Two years of technical experience preferred.
Type I EPA Certification preferred for appliance technicians.
