About The Position

CSC ServiceWorks is hiring an Appliance Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain washers, dryers, and air-vending machines at customer and client locations within an assigned region. The role involves independent field work to keep equipment operating effectively and meet customer expectations. Technicians follow manufacturer guidance and safety standards, communicate professionally with customers, document service activity, and manage parts and tools.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for customer interactions.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to handle and maneuver heavy appliances.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and communication.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Previous experience in appliance repair or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair washing machines, dryers, and air-vending machines in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, replacing worn parts, and adjusting settings.
• Communicate professionally with customers about concerns, repairs, and maintenance, and offer advice on appliance use and care.
• Record service calls, repairs, parts used, and other relevant details; prepare service reports and update the internal database.
• Monitor spare-parts and tool inventory and order parts or equipment as needed.
• Follow safety protocols when working with electrical systems and appliances, protecting personal safety and customers’ property.
