Appliance Repair Apprentice / Technician
About The Position
We are looking for individuals to train from scratch as Appliance Repair Apprentices/Technicians. The compensation structure includes an hourly base pay, commission, and bonuses, with significant earning potential for skilled technicians, especially those certified in sealed systems and refrigeration.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs and move appliances with appropriate equipment.
- A genuinely professional attitude with customers.
- Ability to talk straight with customers.
- Aptitude and attitude that cannot be taught.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to work through problems you haven't seen before.
- Willingness to work until the job is done, understanding that days can run long.
- Basic hand tools.

- Experience in the trades.
- Certification to run sealed systems and refrigeration.
Responsibilities
- Learn and master the craft of appliance repair through a structured apprenticeship program.
- Perform appliance repairs in customers' homes, providing honest and professional service.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of appliance issues, including those with new models and complex problems.
- Effectively communicate repair recommendations to customers and earn their trust.
- Manage parts lookups, serial number breaks, and utilize manufacturer resources.
- Operate and learn company tablet and software systems.
- Physically move and handle heavy appliances in various spaces.
- Adhere to company standards for professionalism, honesty, and customer service.
- Collaborate with and support fellow team members.
