About The Position

Mr. Appliance is hiring a Lead Appliance Repair Technician to provide excellent customer service to customers and technical support to a team of appliance repair technicians. The role involves diagnosing and repairing home appliances, explaining solutions to customers, and helping the team deliver quality repairs. The technician will work with high-end brands including Bosch, Thermador, Viking, and Sub-Zero, as well as other major brands. The company offers ongoing training, a company vehicle and iPad, and a schedule with no nights or weekends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Exceptional customer service and empathy.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently, reliably, and punctually.
• Attention to detail, including vehicle organization and accurate reporting.
• Willingness to research new equipment and participate in ongoing training.
• Enjoyment of teaching and sharing skills with other technicians.
• Experience with high-end appliance brands is a must, including Bosch, Thermador, Viking, and Sub-Zero.

Nice To Haves

• Four or more years of appliance repair experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair home appliances by troubleshooting, providing cost estimates, communicating with customers, and collecting payments.
• Lead a team of Appliance Repair Technicians in diagnosing and repairing appliances.
• Serve as a technical resource and provide support to the team.
• Communicate effectively with the office.
• Handle customer service escalations.
• Provide empathetic, high-quality customer service and explain repair solutions to customers.
• Complete repairs efficiently and correctly the first time.
• Keep the work vehicle clean and organized, and maintain accurate customer information and reports.
• Research new equipment and participate in training opportunities.
• Teach and share appliance repair knowledge and skills with other technicians.
