About The Position

As an Appliance Delivery Helper, known internally as a Deliver Experience Cadet, you assist with delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of appliances and other equipment. The role also includes order fulfillment duties involving delivery, installation, integration, networking, and repair of consumer electronics devices. During installations, you determine how to install major appliances, including measuring and protecting the delivery route, assessing whether doors must be detached, and deciding whether fixtures need to be moved.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy’s safety standards, such as having a minimal number of violations or accidents.
• Ability to lift 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team using support tools such as a harness, dolly, or lift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• At least 21 years old.
• Acquire and maintain any required state or local licensing within 90 days of being hired.

Responsibilities

• Attend appointments individually or lead a two-person crew up to 30% of the time, completing basic-complexity installation and repair of home theater equipment and appliances.
• Determine how to bring major appliances into homes and place them in their final locations, including measuring and protecting the route and assessing whether doors need to be detached or fixtures moved.
• Remove and reinstall doors and panels as necessary.
• Provide a seamless client experience by advising on product placement, services, and other content.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members.
• Process paperwork and payments, provide feedback to store teams, and complete in-store repairs.
