About The Position

As an Appliance Delivery Helper, also known internally as a Deliver Experience Cadet, you’ll assist with the delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of appliances and other equipment. The role also supports order fulfillment duties involving delivery, installation, integration, networking, and repair of consumer electronics devices.

During installations, you’ll determine the best way to install major appliances, including measuring and protecting areas along the route, deciding whether doors need to be detached, and moving fixtures. You may attend appointments individually or lead a two-person crew up to 30% of the time.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery experience.
• A current, valid driver’s license.
• A driving record that meets Best Buy’s safety standards, such as having a minimal number of violations or accidents, and the ability to maintain that record.
• Ability to lift 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team using support tools such as a harness, dolly, or lift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• At least 21 years old.
• Acquire and maintain any required state or local licensing within 90 days of being hired.

Responsibilities

• Attend appointments individually or lead a two-person crew up to 30% of the time, including completing basic-complexity installation and repair of home theater equipment and appliances.
• Determine the best way to bring major appliances into homes and their final locations, including measuring and protecting areas along the route, deciding whether doors need to be detached, and determining whether fixtures need to be moved.
• Remove and reinstall doors and panels as necessary.
• Provide a seamless client experience by advising on product placement, services, and other content.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with other team members.
• Process paperwork and payment, provide feedback to store teams, and complete in-store repairs.
