About The Position

As an Appliance Delivery Helper, also known internally as a Deliver Experience Cadet, you assist with delivery, installation, repair, and haul-away of appliances and other equipment. The role includes order fulfillment duties such as installing, integrating, networking, and repairing consumer electronics devices. During installations, you determine how to install major appliances safely, including measuring and protecting the route, assessing whether doors need to be detached, and moving fixtures.

You may attend appointments independently or lead a two-person crew for up to 30% of the time. You provide advice about product placement and services, manage inventory and vehicle maintenance with team members, process paperwork and payments, provide feedback to store teams, and complete in-store repairs.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of customer service, sales, installation, or large product delivery experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license.
• Maintain a driving record that meets Best Buy’s safety standards.
• Ability to lift 350 pounds individually or 700 pounds as a team using support tools such as a harness, dolly, or lift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Acquire and maintain any required state or local licensing within 90 days of being hired.

Responsibilities

• Attend appointments independently or lead a two-person crew up to 30% of the time, completing basic-complexity installation and repair of home theater equipment and appliances.
• Determine the best way to bring major appliances into homes and position them, including measuring and protecting the route and deciding whether doors need to be detached or fixtures moved.
• Remove and reinstall doors and panels as necessary.
• Provide clients with advice on product placement, services, and other content.
• Manage inventory and vehicle maintenance in partnership with team members.
• Process paperwork and payments.
• Provide feedback to store teams.
• Complete in-store repairs.
