About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a world-class customer service commitment and helps create a pleasant, productive shopping experience. Associates demonstrate products, maintain product knowledge through ongoing training, keep merchandise stocked and accurately priced, and maintain a clean, organized work area. They help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position operates under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and, occasionally, lift or move objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner.
Handle merchandise with care and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
Support a pleasant and productive shopping experience and provide a legendary experience for every customer.
Demonstrate products to customers.
Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Perform other duties as assigned.
