About The Position

The Advanced Practice Nurse provides high-quality care to patients of OSF OnCall Urgent Care and helps maintain the consistency and quality of services. The role includes keeping full and current patient medical records, including documentation of examinations, procedures, and other services provided by the nurse or support staff. The Advanced Practice Nurse also exercises diligence in assisting the OSF CEO with keeping practice costs low while maintaining high-quality care, and provides a personalized, patient-centric experience. The position requires floating to various facilities and may require floating between clinics as needed. The schedule is 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.

Requirements

• Master’s degree.
• Illinois Advanced Practice Nurse licensure.
• Illinois Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
• Active Department of Transportation (DOT) certification, or obtain certification through the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners within 16 weeks of hire.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the ages of patients served.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care to OSF OnCall Urgent Care patients.
• Maintain the consistency and quality of all services provided.
• Maintain complete and current patient medical records, including reports of examinations, procedures, and other services performed by the provider or support staff.
• Assist the OSF CEO in keeping practice costs to a minimum while maintaining high-quality patient care.
• Provide a personalized, patient-centric experience to patients.
• Float to various facilities and between clinics as needed.
