About The Position
Porter Berger Communities is hiring a full-time Porter for 202 Queen Apartments in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The role helps keep the community clean, attractive, and welcoming by maintaining common areas, grounds, amenity spaces, and building exteriors. It is a hands-on, active position in a friendly, team-oriented environment where the employee’s work supports residents and contributes to the community’s appearance. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM. Pay is $15–$16 per hour, paid biweekly. Benefits begin on the first day of the month after 30 days of employment.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain shared spaces such as hallways, lobbies, stairways, leasing offices, and laundry rooms.
- Keep building entrances, sidewalks, parking areas, and grounds clean and free of debris.
- Sweep, scrub, mop, and pressure wash community walkways and common areas.
- Collect and properly dispose of trash and recycling throughout the property.
- Clean windows, doors, walls, and other interior and exterior surfaces.
- Assist with apartment turnover cleaning and move-in preparation as needed.
- Replace light bulbs and assist with other light maintenance tasks.
- Participate in seasonal property upkeep, including snow removal and salting walkways.
- Use cleaning tools, equipment, and chemicals safely.
- Report property damage, safety concerns, or maintenance issues to the Service Manager.
- Assist the maintenance team with property upkeep and other tasks as needed.
