Floating Apartment Maintenance Technician
About The Position
Lyon Living is hiring a floating, multi-site Maintenance Technician to support properties in San Juan Capistrano, San Clemente, Dana Point, and Lake Forest in South Orange County, California. The technician ensures that property communities meet the organization’s safety, appearance, and operational standards. The role involves responding to resident maintenance requests, maintaining property appearance and cleanliness, completing repairs and unit turns, and performing electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliance work. The position requires travel to company-operated locations, offsite meetings, and vendors. On-call duty and weekend work are required, and the employee may be required to live on-site.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of hands-on general maintenance experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and on-call duty.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle registration and insurance, or an alternative form of transportation at the employee’s expense that allows travel to required destinations in comparable time.
- Ability to speak and write English understandably.
- Employees who use their own vehicle for work-related duties must provide proof of insurance and may be subject to a DMV record search.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Respond to resident requests for maintenance.
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the property.
- Complete assigned repairs to building exteriors and common areas.
- Complete unit turns.
- Perform electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, as well as appliance installation and repair.
- Follow company safety program rules, attend safety meetings, and perform duties safely.
- Travel to offsite meetings, other company-operated locations, and vendors as required.
