About The Position

Windsor Communities is seeking a Dual-Site Apartment Service Technician II for their locations at Windsor West Plano and Windsor Preston in Plano, TX. This role is crucial for maintaining the quality and functionality of two mid-rise communities, totaling 830 apartment homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in apartment maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and carpentry. This position requires availability for an on-call rotation to handle after-hours and weekend emergencies, contributing to Windsor Communities' commitment to exceptional customer service, as recognized by the Kingsley Excellence Award.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with multifamily residential, commercial or hotel maintenance
  • Intermediate competency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, and carpentry.
  • Familiarity with building safety systems including the fire systems (sprinklers/alarms)
  • Ability to use smart devices and property management software for maintaining accurate records and work order completion
  • Advanced knowledge of hand tools and basic power tools
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, some weekend work and ability to participate in the on-call rotations

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Type II certification preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date
  • CPO (Certified Pool Operator) preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and apply preventative measures with apartment homes, common areas, mechanical rooms, plumbing, electrical and appliance areas.
  • Support the company’s values and cultures by providing exceptional service to teammates and residents.
  • Be part of a rotating on call schedule for after hours and weekend emergency response.
