About The Position

Monarch Investment and Management Group is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Supervisor for Prairie Walk Apartments in South Kansas City, Missouri. The supervisor oversees maintenance operations, assigns and tracks work orders, prepares apartments between occupants, performs property repairs, maintains preventative maintenance programs, and coordinates emergency coverage and major vendor repairs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with an on-call rotation one week every two weeks. The role requires a physical demonstration of basic job duties during the interview process and pre-employment criminal background and drug screenings.

Requirements

HVAC experience is required.
EPA certification is required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 4 years of experience in the maintenance field.
Experience managing at least one employee.
Experience with drywall, painting, and carpentry.
Experience with light plumbing and electrical work.
Working knowledge of appliances, including washers and dryers.
Ability to physically demonstrate basic job duties during the interview process.

Nice To Haves

CPO certification is a plus.
At least 4 years of experience in the multifamily housing industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure work orders are completed and assign them to team members based on priority.
Turn and prepare units between tenant occupancy.
Complete property and apartment repairs involving plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC.
Conduct monthly budget analysis with the Property Manager.
Manage and maintain a consistent preventative maintenance program.
Perform exterior structural maintenance as needed.
Manage coverage of a 24/7 emergency on-call system.
Manage bids and plan major repairs involving third-party vendors.
