Animal Care Attendant (Career Opportunity)
About The Position
Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Shag Bark Pet Retreat and Spa. The role provides hands-on care for pets in a pet-care facility, including maintaining clean and safe enclosures and play areas, serving meals and water, monitoring pets’ health and behavior, supervising play, and assisting with brushing and bathing. The position also involves handling laundry and pet belongings and reporting unusual observations to management. It is a physical role that requires standing and being on your feet throughout the shift, frequent walking and stair climbing, and lifting up to 40 pounds. Requirements

Responsibilities
- Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
- Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
- Monitor each pet guest’s health and well-being, including elimination.
- Report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
- Assist with brushing and bathing.
- Handle laundry and pets’ belongings to keep them clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
