About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant at Rover Resort. The role involves hands-on care for pet guests, including maintaining clean and safe spaces, providing meals and fresh water, monitoring pets’ health and well-being, supervising play, and assisting with grooming and bathing. The job is active and requires working on your feet throughout the shift, with frequent standing, walking, and stair climbing. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. The workplace may involve exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal waste.

Requirements

A strong love for animals.
Maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
Be willing to perform hands-on work, including getting dirty.
Be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Be able to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift.
Be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; weekend availability is specifically required.

Nice To Haves

Prior kennel or animal-care experience.
Experience working with dogs and cleaning kennels.

Responsibilities

Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
Monitor each pet guest’s health and well-being, including waste, and report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
Assist with brushing and bathing pets.
Handle laundry and pets’ belongings to keep them clean.
Perform other duties as assigned.
