About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Rover Resort to provide hands-on care for pet guests in a pet care facility. The role includes maintaining clean and safe spaces, feeding and monitoring animals, supervising play, assisting with grooming and bathing, and handling laundry and pet belongings. This is a physical, on-your-feet position involving exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Requirements

• A strong love for animals.
• A cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to perform hands-on work and get dirty.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to remain on one’s feet for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; weekend availability is specifically required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
• Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
• Monitor each pet guest’s health and well-being, including observing and reporting elimination habits.
• Report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
• Assist with brushing and bathing.
• Handle laundry and pet belongings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
