About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Bow Wow Bungalow to provide hands-on care for pets in a pet care facility. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing enclosures and play areas, feeding and watering pets, monitoring their health and behavior, supervising playtime, assisting with brushing and bathing, and handling laundry and pet belongings. This is a physically active position involving exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Availability is required at least three days per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

A strong love for animals.
A calm and professional demeanor.
Willingness to perform hands-on work and get dirty.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Availability at least three days per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Prior kennel or animal care experience.

Responsibilities

Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
Monitor the health and well-being of each pet guest, including observing their waste, and report unusual conditions to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
Supervise pets during playtime.
Assist with brushing and bathing.
Handle laundry and pet belongings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
