About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Hound Dog Pet Hotel - West. The role provides hands-on care for pets in a pet hotel setting, helping maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for animals and their families. The work is physically active and involves exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• A strong love for animals.
• A calm and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to perform hands-on work that can get dirty.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of prior kennel or animal care experience; preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
• Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
• Monitor each pet guest’s health and wellbeing, including observing and reporting elimination habits.
• Report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
• Assist with brushing and bathing.
• Handle laundry and pet belongings, ensuring pets have clean items.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
