Animal Care Attendant (Flexible Working Hours)
About The Position
Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at American Pet Spa. The role involves hands-on care for pet guests in a pet care facility, helping keep them safe, clean, comfortable, and supervised. Work includes cleaning and sanitizing enclosures and play areas, providing meals and fresh water, monitoring pets’ health and behavior, supervising play, and assisting with brushing and bathing. The attendant also handles laundry and pets’ belongings and reports unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager. The work is physically active and may involve exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal messes. A flexible schedule is required, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- A strong interest in and love for animals.
- A cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
- Willingness to perform hands-on work and get dirty.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to remain on their feet for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Nice To Haves
- Prior kennel or animal care experience.
Responsibilities
