About The Position

The Angel Tree Warehouse Worker works in the Christmas center, handling donations such as furniture, appliances, and clothing. The role involves lifting, carrying, loading, unloading, and distributing donations, maintaining warehouse safety and security, and helping clean, lay out, and set up the warehouse. The worker may also assist with pickups from malls or corporations when necessary. The position is based at the Gainesville Admin Office in Gainesville, Georgia, and pays $12.00 per hour.

Requirements

Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Physical strength adequate to carry and unload materials from trucks and in the warehouse.
Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving lifting and carrying heavy objects.
Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
Valid State Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Lift and stack donations in the warehouse.
Distribute donations to their proper places as instructed.
Clean and service assigned areas in the Christmas Center, including sweeping or mopping as needed.
Clean restrooms and replenish supplies.
Pick up trash, empty garbage containers, and take trash to the disposal area.
Maintain grounds by picking up trash as needed.
Maintain good relationships with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.
Unload trucks at the Christmas warehouse.
Assist with warehouse clean-up, layout, and setup.
Assist with pickups from malls or corporations when necessary.
Promote warehouse safety and security.
