About The Position
The Angel Tree Warehouse Worker works in The Salvation Army’s Christmas center, handling donations and helping maintain a safe, orderly warehouse. This seasonal, short-term position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with varying hours, from November 16, 2026, through December 23, 2026. Work includes lifting, carrying, loading, and unloading donations such as furniture, appliances, and clothing; organizing donations; cleaning and setting up the warehouse; and potentially picking up donations from malls or corporations when necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Meet attendance requirements.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving lifting and carrying heavy objects.
- Ability to walk continuously, stoop, stand, and do some climbing.
Responsibilities
- Lift and stack donations in the warehouse.
- Distribute donations to their proper places as instructed.
- Clean and service assigned areas in the Christmas Center.
- Pick up trash, empty garbage containers, and take trash to the disposal area.
- Maintain good relationships with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.
- Unload trucks at the Christmas warehouse.
- Assist with warehouse cleanup, layout, and setup.
- Assist with pickups from malls or corporations when necessary.
- Promote the safety and security of the warehouse.
