About The Position

This seasonal full-time position works in the Christmas center warehouse in Vero Beach, Florida. The worker handles donations, which may include furniture, appliances, and clothing; helps maintain warehouse safety and security; and assists with cleaning, organizing, and setting up the warehouse. The role may also involve picking up donations from malls, corporations, or Angel Tree drop-off locations as needed. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. The stated pay is $15.00 per hour. Travel is minimal, and the job shift is listed as any.

Requirements

Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving lifting and carrying heavy objects.
Ability to walk continuously, stoop, stand, and climb at times.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Lift, carry, and stack donations in the warehouse.
Distribute donations to their proper places as instructed.
Unload trucks at the Christmas warehouse.
Assist with Angel Tree pickups from drop-off locations and possible pickups from malls or corporations.
Clean and service assigned areas in the Christmas Center.
Clean and maintain the Christmas warehouse and loading dock area.
Pick up trash, empty garbage containers, and move trash to the disposal area.
Promote warehouse safety and security.
Maintain good relationships with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.
Work in all areas of Christmas warehouse operations as needed.
Perform special projects and other related duties as required.
