About The Position

The Americas Sales Manager – Transportation is a hands-on working manager position leading regional commercial strategy to drive profitable growth and strengthen BAND-IT’s market position and revenue attainment. This role oversees key OEM, Tier 1, and Tier 2 accounts, develops new business, and ensures execution of BAND-IT’s value proposition. Building on core account management functions such as identifying market needs and driving opportunity development, this position provides regional sales leadership, strategic pipeline management, and cross-functional coordination. The Americas Sales Manager partners with global teams to ensure regional alignment with the global transportation strategy with multinational customers. This position is based in North America, with a preference for the Midwest region (home-office-based role).

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related field.
  • Minimum 7 years in account management or sales within the transportation markets; experience with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers is highly desired.
  • Expert in Value Selling principles, strategic thinking, and complex negotiations within technical environments.
  • Experience working within a global, multi-national footprint.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), CRM, and ERP systems.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure sales attainment according to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Growth Imitative objectives through discipline execution.
  • Drive North American commercial strategy and profitable growth by managing key OEM and Tier 1/2 accounts while aggressively pursuing new business.
  • Identify emerging market needs and customer challenges within existing accounts to recommend, develop, and launch high-value technical solutions that drive continued opportunity development.
  • Partner with global account managers to align strategies and leverage synergies for customers with a multinational footprint.
  • Execute full-cycle sales plans, from prospecting and presenting solutions to developing complex, value-based pricing and proposals.
  • Ensure long-term satisfaction through hands-on tool support, including on-site repair, setup, and technical customer training.
  • Deliver accurate sales forecasts (SIOP) and utilize CRM/Salesforce to report on account performance and market intelligence.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
