About The Position

As an AM Supervisor - Heat Treat, EDM, Bandsaw, Media Blast, you will lead a team of technicians operating a growing fleet of Monolith LPBF additive manufacturing systems. You will own day-to-day heat treat, EDM, bandsaw, and media blast operations; improve equipment utilization; develop technical talent; and establish the operational discipline needed to deliver consistent, certifiable production at scale. This is a hands-on, highly visible leadership role in a high-reliability, procedure-driven manufacturing environment. The supervisor is accountable for throughput, quality, and safety across post-processing operations, ensuring parts are inspected and qualified before downstream operations. The role builds and develops technician and frontline-leader teams, establishes training and qualification standards, strengthens process robustness and compliance, and drives cost, throughput, and efficiency improvements. It also develops automation and capability roadmaps, evaluates and integrates automation solutions, and leads cross-functional problem solving to address bottlenecks and failure modes. The position is based in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment with changing priorities and close collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, and program teams. It requires hands-on shop-floor engagement, strong systems knowledge, and proactive management of scheduling risks while maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency standards. The role may occasionally require extended or weekend hours to meet production deadlines.

  • Develop a multi-year roadmap for automation and capability expansion across work centers.
  • Evaluate and integrate robotics and automation solutions, including developing business cases.
  • Lead media blast automation, build plate resurfacing equipment selection and commissioning, and onboarding processing capabilities for new materials and alloys.
  • Identify bottlenecks and failure modes across the processing chain.
  • Lead cross-functional problem solving with engineering, quality, and maintenance, and implement durable corrective actions.
  • Anticipate and resolve scheduling risks before they affect key deliverables.
  • Maintain proactive communication and support continuous improvement while meeting program timelines.
