About The Position

The Heat Treat Technician provides day-to-day production support, including training operators to meet ISO, customer, and company standards. The role generates reports such as QTRs and records production metrics, including scrap, downtime, and output. It also involves troubleshooting machine issues, participating in company-wide training and initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen, and supporting operators in meeting production goals, delivery timelines, and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools.
• Previous experience as a Machine Operator.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Willingness to work outside the schedule, including weekends and holidays, as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support operators in addressing technical issues and challenges.
• Train operators to ensure compliance with production specifications and quality standards.
• Perform changeovers and tool changes, and assist in troubleshooting machine and operational issues.
• Gather and provide accurate production data to management for analysis and decision-making.
• Assist in conducting physical inventories and ensure stock-level accuracy.
• Complete and maintain required documentation, including production logs and reports.
• Participate in company initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities.
• Inspect and repair parts in the sort area as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and operational needs.
