About The Position

Provide guests with exceptional service to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with corporate, franchise, and applicable federal, state, and local requirements while meeting or exceeding financial goals. The role includes preparing and maintaining the service station, welcoming guests, explaining specials and promotions, accurately recording and entering orders, delivering food and beverages, and processing guest checks. Servers must maintain a professional manner, support coworkers, and be available to work regularly. Duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

• Maintain a professional appearance and manner.
• Be willing to help coworkers and work as part of a team.
• Have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
• Know appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• Be able to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
• Be able to transport trays weighing up to 30 pounds through a crowded room continuously throughout a shift, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to operate beverage and toast equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
• Be able to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures.
• Have effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Be able to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Check the service station before, during, and after the shift to ensure proper setup and cleanliness.
• Greet guests courteously and explain specials and restaurant promotions.
• Record guest orders, repeat them back to verify accuracy, and enter them into the Point of Sale system for the kitchen.
• Retrieve completed orders from the kitchen, confirm their accuracy, and deliver them with appropriate condiments.
• Follow state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
• Replenish beverages and check with guests to ensure their satisfaction.
• Promote and serve desserts and specialty coffees upon request.
• Use Point of Sale procedures to pre-check orders and close out checks.
• Present checks promptly.
• Comply with attendance rules and maintain regular availability for work.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
